Oktoberfest of Things 2012

During 2012 I met a lot of interesting people around the Internet of Things topic. One of them is Thomas Amberg, from Yaler. I met Thomas at the Open Internet of Things Assembly on June in London for the first time, and then I went to Zurich at the DIY IoT workshop within the IoT Zurich community where he made a really good hands-on workshop explaining how to program Arduino among other open-source shields.

On that moment I proposed to Thomas to work on a crazy prototype related with the Internet of Things and the Oktoberfest in Munich... something that could be called Oktoberfest of Things. As beer lovers we began to define the requirements and design the possible futuristic prototype in order to know how many beers have you drank at the Oktoberfest, among other functionalities.

Finally Thomas came to Munich to test his prototype at the Oktoberfest. It's a shame that I couldn't meet him. During the Oktoberfest is complicated with a lot of friends coming to enjoy the party... but the pictues are sooo awesome!

Let's work on the 2013 Oktoberfest of Things prototype :)
